fall, again

Colorado fall landscape. Trees crowned with impossible shades of yellow and gold standing in front of cardboard cut outs of flat fake mountains. The sky a paler shade of blue than we see the rest of the year. The faint smell of woodsmoke and drying alfalfa that follows you even into the city. Fall in Colorado is worth even the winter that will follow.
